AimsThis NRDC (National Research Development Centre) sponsored project had 6 sites of investigation around the UK, examining different contexts in which literacy, language and numeracy (LLN) have been embedded. NIACE has responsibility for 1 site at Bishop Burton College where it is exploring basic skills in a horticulture enterprise programme.
Key partnersThe key partners are NRDC - the co-ordinating partner - and King’s College, London which is leading the research.

Target Group(s)/Learners who will benefitThe project is aimed at those people who are assessed as needing to develop LLN skills but who might not be attracted to discreet LLN programmes. They may be motivated by a particular subject or vocation in which LLN activities are embedded.
